3 running backs the Buccaneers could target in the 2020 NFL Draft

D’Andre Swift

With less than two weeks to go until the 2020 NFL Draft, scouts and the media alike are still deciphering who the best players are at each position. For months, a majority of people seem to believe D’Andre Swift is the best running back available — and for good reason.

While playing his collegiate career at Georgia, Swift was part of an offense that leaned toward pounding the rock with multiple running backs. Although that may be true, Swift still capped off his career at Georgia with 1,218 yards and seven touchdowns in 2019.

Despite Georgia being known for their imposing rushing attack, Swift showed glimpses of what he can do as a pass catcher. Throughout his three years at Georgia, Swift was able to haul in 73 catches for 666 yards and five touchdowns.

The Buccaneers aren’t on the clock in the second round until the No. 45 pick, making it tough for them to land a talent like Swift. However, if Swift is still on the board when the Buccaneers are on the clock, Tampa Bay is going to have quite the decision to make.
