3 sleeper free agency targets for the Rams this offseason

Nick Kwiatkoski

Besides Brockers, Littleton is another cornerstone of the Rams defense that they are in jeopardy of losing in free agency. Back in 2016, Los Angeles signed Littleton as an undrafted rookie out of Washington.

Initially, Littleton made his name as a special teams standout, blocking punts and making tackles. Then, in 2018, Littleton was inserted into the starting lineup on defense. In his two seasons as a starter, Littleton has compiled 259 tackles, 22 deflections, 7.5 sacks, and five interceptions for the Rams.

While it’ll be tough to find a more versatile linebacker than Littleton, Los Angeles should have interest in Nick Kwiatkoski if Littleton’s price becomes too steep. Similar to Littleton, Kwiatkoski had to earn his way into the starting lineup with the Chicago Bears.

In his first season starting more than seven games, Kwiatkoski accumulated 76 tackles, three sacks, and an interception in 2019. Even though he isn’t nearly as talented in coverage as Littleton, Kwiatkoski wouldn’t be an awful contingency plan at linebacker.
