What To Expect From Drew Lock In 2020
No one can truly “know” what to expect from a second-year quarterback in the NFL. However, Lock is a special talent and he has a much better supporting cast around him to make things easier.
Denver is going to be a team to keep an eye on this season. The Broncos are not going to be easy to beat with an improved offense and a talented defense. Vic Fangio will make sure that the defense plays up to their potential.
Without further delay, here are three statistics that the Broncos and fans should expect from Lock.
Right Around 4,000 Passing Yards
Lock is going to take a nice step from a yardage perspective, but he isn’t going to put up MVP candidate yards. Last season, Lock racked up 1,020 yards in five games played. This season, he will end up right around the 4,000-yark mark with a full season played.
28 Passing Touchdowns
Denver’s passing game is going to be fun to watch with Sutton, Jeudy, Hamler, and Fant on the field. Lock is going to put the football in the end zone on a consistent basis this year. By the end of the season, he will have thrown for at least 28 touchdowns.
Less Than 12 Interceptions
Finally, most young quarterbacks seems to struggle with turnovers. But, for a guy like Lock who doesn’t force the issue and has great arm strength and accuracy, that won’t be a struggle. Lock should throw no more than 12 interceptions in his second season, which will be a major positive for the Broncos.
