3 steps to a perfect offseason for the New York Jets

2. Do Not Trade Le’Veon Bell

Rumors have been swirling that the Jets will be aggressively looking to trade star running back Le’Veon Bell this offseason. While his relationship with Adam Gase is very much in question, they cannot afford to panic.

Bell is still one of the most talented running backs in the NFL. He rushed for 789 yards and three touchdowns on 245 carries in 2019, while also catching 66 passes for 461 yards and another touchdown. The numbers were a bit down, but a full offseason of working with the team will help.

Finding a talent at running back like Bell only comes around once in a decade. New York would not be able to find another player capable of shouldering as much of a load as Bell can. The Jets must keep him around for one more season at least.
