The 2021 NFL offseason featured several roster upgrades and deals, but the most expected of them all was when former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz was dealt to the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts were in need of a quarterback to take the reigns of their offense following the retirement of Philip Rivers and Wentz was a guy they had their sights set on from the get go.

Wentz gets to reunite with his former coach Frank Reich in Indianapolis and Reich gets a quarterback he’s already familiar with to take over under center. This seems like a match made in heaven for a Colts’ team that needed an upgrade at quarterback to take the next step in the AFC.

Let’s dive into three early predictions for Carson Wentz with the Colts in 2021.

3. Wentz Regains His MVP Form With Indianapolis

My first prediction for Wentz is that he’ll regain his MVP form with the Colts. Wentz saw extended success with the Eagles a few years ago under Reich’s guidance before he tore his ACL, and now that he’s back with Reich and has some really good weapons around him, he could very well regain that super star form.

Wentz has never been a bad quarterback, but the lack of weapons in Philadelphia and an array of injuries kept him off the field. Now that Wentz is back with the coach that saw the most potential in him, Wentz could return the favor and dominate with the Colts. Returning to MVP form would make the Colts a very serious contender.

2. He Guides The Colts Back To The Playoffs

My second prediction for Carson Wentz in the 2021 season is that he’ll guide the Colts to the playoffs. The Colts didn’t lose too many key players this offseason, and they made some great additions to the team that will increase their odds of returning to the playoffs.

Wentz will have ample weapons in TY Hilton, Zach Pascal, Parris Campbell, and Michael Pittman Jr. to throw the ball to and he will have one of the league’s best offensive lines to keep him upright. If Wentz can get the job done, all signs are pointing to another playoff appearance for the Colts.

1. The Pro Bowl Is In His 2021 Future

My third and final prediction for Colts’ quarterback Carson Wentz is that he will make it to the Pro Bowl. I think the league is going to see a brand new Wentz this year and the Pro Bowl is certainly within the realm of possibility for him if he plays well.

Wentz has been working hard this offseason and is excited to take the field with his new squad, and I truly believe that will show on game days. Wentz is a former number two overall pick for a reason, and he will show his opponents why in 2021. Don’t be shocked if Wentz is on the Pro Bowl roster following the 2021 season.
