3 surprising players that could go in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft

Ezra Cleveland

When the NFL Draft begins, there is expected to be a slew of offensive tackles taken early in the first round. The four offensive tackles that are expected to be taken early in the first round are Jedrick Wills, Tristan Wirfs, Mekhi Becton, and Andrew Thomas.

But after the top-tier names are no longer available, there are going to be a few offensive tackles that teams have their sights on in the first round. One name that could come as a surprise to some is Ezra Cleveland out of Boise State.

Cleveland is an offensive tackle that flashed athleticism and mobility at the position in college, making him a prime candidate for a team that deploys a zone-blocking running scheme. While he’s a developmental project in the NFL, there’s a decent chance that a team selects Cleveland in the first round of the NFL Draft.
