The Trent Williams saga continues to carry into the offseason and his desire to be traded from the Washington Redskins remains strong. Despite his efforts to be traded, the Redskins are making a resolution between both sides a bit difficult.
After giving Williams permission to seek a trade, it was reported that the Redskins were asking for a first-round pick in return. Since then, Washington has lowered their asking price and are adamant about receiving at least a second-round pick for the left tackle.
Besides wanting to be traded, Williams is interested in getting a new contract. So whatever team acquires him, better be prepared to shell out an extensive amount of money on the former first-round pick.
With the most active period of free agency being completed, there aren’t many teams that have the resources to make a trade for Williams. Nevertheless, here are three teams that should still trade for Williams this offseason.
