3 teams that should still trade for Trent Williams this offseason

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Denver Broncos

Back in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos used their first-round pick on Garett Bolles. Even though he’s started in every game since being drafted, Bolles has left a lot to be desired.

From penalties to being inconsistent, Bolles has failed to prove that he can be the longtime left tackle for the Broncos. As a matter of fact, after the 2019 season, GM John Elway didn’t exactly give a ringing endorsement on Bolles’ future with the team.

With Bolles falling short of their expectations, the Broncos are in no rush to pick up his fifth-year option. Rather than giving Bolles another season to start, Denver should consider making a move for Williams.

Considering that Drew Lock is the hopeful face of the franchise, Denver needs to do everything they can to keep him upright. Despite missing the entire 2019 season, there’s no reason to believe that Williams wouldn’t be an upgrade at left tackle for the Broncos.
