Cleveland Browns
Ahead of the 2019 trade deadline, the Cleveland Browns were linked as a team that could land Williams in a trade. However, due to Washington’s steep asking price, the Browns were unwilling to pull the trigger.
So far this offseason, Cleveland was able to improve at right tackle, signing Jack Conklin in free agency. As for the left tackle position, that is still up for discussion for the Browns this offseason.
Of course, the Browns own the No. 10 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, making it possible that they select one of the coveted tackle prospects. But instead of taking a chance on a rookie, Cleveland could insert Williams into the left tackle spot.
Above all, the Browns have the most cap space remaining in the NFL, having more than enough money to give Williams an extension. By making a move for Williams, Cleveland could address one of their other needs with the 10th overall pick in the draft.
