3 teams that should still trade for Trent Williams this offseason

Los Angeles Chargers

Early in free agency, the Los Angeles Chargers decided to make a rare player-for-player trade, sending Russell Okung to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for Trai Turner. While Turner bolsters the interior offensive line, Okung’s departure leaves a void at left tackle.

Some believe that Los Angeles could target Okung’s replacement with the No. 6 pick in this year’s draft. On the contrary, according to reports, the Chargers have been focused on the top quarterback prospects in the first round.

Even though Tyrod Taylor is going to get an opportunity to replace Philip Rivers in 2020, it would make sense for Los Angeles to add their possible future starter in the draft. To make drafting a quarterback easier at No. 6, the Chargers could express interest in acquiring Williams.

The Chargers are another team that has enough money to sign Williams to an extension once he arrives. Regardless of who is under center next season, Los Angeles should be a team looking to manufacture a trade for Williams.
