3 teams who should pursue Jadeveon Clowney in free agency

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Baltimore Ravens

While the Baltimore Ravens saw some solid play out of their defense in 2019, they didn’t get after the quarterback at an elite level. They accumulated just 37 sacks as a team, tied for 21st in the league.

With outside linebacker Pernell McPhee set to become a free agent, Baltimore will need another pass rusher to help compensate for that loss. Clowney would be a clear upgrade over McPhee and would give the Ravens a very solid group of pass rushers.

Playing in Baltimore’s defense would allow Clowney to play as a pass rushing outside linebacker again, similarly to how he was used in Houston. Bringing Clowney to Baltimore would be a great move for the Ravens’ front office.
