3 teams who should take a risk on Jameis Winston

Jacksonville Jaguars

Nearly a month ago, the Jacksonville Jaguars decided to trade Nick Foles to the Chicago Bears. As a result, that leaves Gardner Minshew with the keys to the offense in 2020.

Minshew impressed in his rookie season in 2019, tossing 3,271 yards, 21 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Just like most rookies though, Minshew is far from a finished product under center.

The Jaguars sixth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft should definitely get a shot to start next season. But why not bring in Winston to add some competition at the quarterback position?

In the event that Minshew doesn’t live up to expectations, Winston could be a viable option behind him. Plus, at 26 years old, Winston could be Jacksonville’s long-term solution at quarterback if Minshew is unable to build off of what he accomplished in 2019. At the least, Minshew does have a pretty sweet mustache.
