Has a recent injury history
The last two seasons have been a significant struggle for Christian Kirksey to stay healthy. He has appeared in just nine games over the last two seasons after previously playing in all 16 games for the initial four seasons of his career. This is the greatest concern for the Packers.
After suffering a hamstring injury in 2018, the Browns placed Kirksey on injured reserve after playing the initial seven games of the season. He then dealt with a chest injury in 2019 that required him to undergo season-ending surgery on a torn pectoral tendon.
The Browns saved $7.55 million in salary cap spending by releasing Kirksey and that was certainly a logical move. It’s difficult to trust the health of a player that is coming off two season-ending injuries with his most recent cutting his season short by 14 games.
