The San Francisco 49ers made multiple selections during the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft and came away with some great prospects. One of those players, Brandon Aiyuk, was picked using the No. 25 selection after trading up.
It doesn’t take long to see that Aiyuk can be a special player when watching his play from Arizona State. Whether it was getting by his man for a deep ball, working the middle of the field, or getting the ball early on a screen, he added many needed layers to the Sun Devils’ offense.
The physical intangibles Aiyuk possesses leave plenty of reasons for intrigue, too. He stands at 6’0″ and weighs 205 pounds with an incredible 6’9″ wingspan and 10″ hands. At the NFL Scouting Combine, he ran a 4.5 40-yard dash and recorded a 40.0″ vertical and 128.0″ broad jump.
During his final season at Arizona State, Aiyuk totaled 65 receptions for 1,192 yards and eight touchdowns. He was the main offensive weapon for a team starting a true freshman quarterback and after losing N’Keal Harry to the NFL Draft in 2019.
With that being said, there are three ways Brandon Aiyuk will impact the 49ers during the 2020 season.
