3 Ways The Colts Could Trade For Broncos’ Receiver Jerry Jeudy

The Indianapolis Colts have expressed interest in trading for Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, and with the Broncos being just 1-5, Jeudy is more likely to be dealt now than ever before.

Destin Adams of A to Z Sports has come up with three different ways the Colts could land Jeudy ahead of the Oct. 31 NFL trade deadline.

One scenario he mentions involves Indianapolis sending a second-round draft pick to the Broncos in exchange for Jeudy, a trade that you would have to think Denver would accept.

Jeudy’s trade value has taken a bit of a hit this season, as he has logged just 20 catches for 222 yards through the first six games. Plus, he is not a No. 1 receiver, so a second-round pick is likely as good of a return as the Broncos are going to get for him.

Adams says that if the Colts don’t want to part with a second-rounder, they could send a 2024 third-rounder and a 2025 fifth-rounder to Denver, which actually seems like a more realistic possibility given Jeudy’s rather mediocre production thus far in 2023.

The final deal Adams provides is Indianapolis sending a conditional 2024 third-round pick that becomes a second-rounder if Indy makes the playoffs. He also adds a 2025 fifth-rounder into the deal.

So, essentially, this deal is almost identical to the second trade but is sweetened by the idea of the third-rounder potentially becoming a second-round pick.

All three of those trade packages are ones that the Broncos would surely consider, as they are going nowhere fast and don’t seem to have any intention of keeping Jeudy for the long haul (although he has another year left on his deal after this season).

The Colts are certainly in need of another wide out in their receiving corps, and Jerry Jeudy might be the solution.
