The New Orleans Saints came up short in the playoffs with their 26-20 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL Wild Card Round. With Drew Brees entering arguably his final season, they will need to make the most of what he has left.
While they didn’t succeed in the playoffs, the Saints were a highly productive offense in the regular season. They ended up totalling 5,982 total yards (9th) and scored 458 points (3rd) while posting the fewest number of turnover in the NFL by a significant margin.
The focus from the Saints was to address specific weaknesses to avoid falling to an unfavorable matchup in the playoffs next season. They managed to achieve this despite having minimal draft selections and a restrictive salary cap situation.
Next season, the Saints project as having one of the most productive offenses in the NFL yet again, if not the best in the league. With that being said, here are three ways New Orleans improved on offense this offseason.
