3 wide receiver targets for the Packers in the second round of the NFL Draft

3. Chase Claypool, Notre Dame

One of the more intriguing late second-round or early third-round targets for the Packers could be Chase Claypool. Unless they want to trade up or back into the early stages of the third round, he comes in third on this list.

Claypool has a ton of potential at the NFL level, but he wouldn’t necessarily bring the playmaking potential that the Packers need. He caught 66 passes for 1,037 yards and 13 touchdowns. The production is obviously there.

However, Claypool would have been a much more intriguing target in the draft had the Packers not signed Funchess. Claypool stands in at 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds. Green Bay needs more of a speed option, but they still could take a look at the Notre Dame standout depending on who is available.
