3 wide receivers the Cardinals should target in the NFL Draft

Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

Justin Jefferson, LSU

Plain and simple, Jefferson was one of the best receivers in the nation in 2019. He was tied for first in the country with 111 catches and was second with 18 touchdowns. Jefferson was also top-three in receiving yards with 1,540. If it wasn’t for his teammate Ja’Marr Chase, he would have most likely taken home the Biletnikoff award.

Jefferson was a huge piece to college football’s best offense and National Champion. He tore up Oklahoma in the CFP semifinals with 14 catches for 227 yards and four touchdowns. Jefferson stands at 6’3 and has exceptional hands. He is a reliable pass catcher who has a high ceiling at the next level.

This is a second round option for Arizona. With all of the other names in this draft, Jefferson could slip into the second round and into the lap of the Cardinals. This would give their offense a difference maker with star power who comes from a winning pedigree. Not a bad option for an NFL team looking to get back to the top.
