3 wide receivers the Cardinals should target in the NFL Draft

Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

CeeDee Lamb, Oklahoma

The Cardinals hold the eighth pick in the draft. The first seven picks can be predicted barring any trades. If it all plays out in predictable fashion, the Cardinals could land the top wide receiver in the draft. Lamb has emerged as the No. 1 prospect at his position over Jerry Jeudy in recent weeks.

Lamb is going to step into an NFL offense and immediately become a No. 1 option. This is what he would be in Arizona. If he is not the fastest wide receiver in the draft then he is definitely top three. Lamb is an incredible route runner with great hands. He can be a deep ball threat or a red zone threat. He can turn a screen pass into a big play or catch a slant and accelerate for a touchdown.

The bottom line is that Lamb is going to be a star. It will be hard to pass on this type of player if he is there for the Cardinals. Let’s not forget the connection that Murray and Lamb have being teammates at Oklahoma in 2018. This is a reunion that Cardinals’ fans would love to see.
