Breshad Perriman
Entering free agency, Breshad Perriman was expected to be one of the marquee names at wide receiver. However, Perriman is realizing that there may not be as big of a market for him as he envisioned.
The former first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens spent the 2019 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After competing for targets with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin in the first 13 games, Perriman got a chance to start in the last three games of the season.
With a more prominent role, Perriman combined for 17 receptions, 349 yards, and four touchdowns in Tampa Bay’s final three games. The Central Florida product possibly gave a preview of what he’s capable of when given an expanded role in an offense.
Even with a slow wide receiver market in free agency, Perriman could be waiting for a decent contract. But with each day that passes that he goes unsigned, his value continues to gradually decrease, making the Packers a possible landing spot. A receiving corps of Adams, Perriman, Allen Lazard, and a rookie would be vastly better than the group they deployed in 2019.
