3 wide receivers the Redskins could target in the third round

K.J. Hamler, Packers, NFL Draft

2. K.J. Hamler, Penn State Nittany Lions

Next up, the Redskins could take a long look at another speedy slot receiver. K.J. Hamler was at one point considered a late first-round pick, but has fallen down mock draft boards in recent weeks. Now, Washington could have a chance to take him at No. 66.

There is always the chance that Hamler ends up getting taken in the middle of the second round, but if he’s available the Redskins should jump at the chance to take him. Hamler caught 56 passes for 904 yards and eight touchdowns last season at Penn State.

Hamler is only 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, but he doesn’t need a ton of size for his game. He will make defenders miss in the open field and would compliment McLaurin nicely. Dwayne Haskins needs more playmakers and the Redskins won’t find many pure playmakers better than Hamler at wide receiver.
