Bears: 4 biggest surprises from Chicago’s 2019 season

2. Allen Robinson still had a Pro-Bowl caliber season

Again, the flaws of Trubisky have been well-documented over the past couple of seasons. This season though, the murmurs for Trubisky to be replaced grew louder as the season progressed.

Despite the inconsistent play from his quarterback, Allen Robinson still put together a phenomenal campaign in 2019. The veteran wideout ended the year with a career-high 98 receptions, 1,147 yards, and seven touchdowns.

Even though Robinson wasn’t selected to the Pro Bowl, he still had a Pro-Bowl caliber season. Not many receivers would’ve been able to produce the numbers he did for a team that didn’t get reliable play from their quarterback.

If the Bears had a better year in 2019, Robinson’s season would’ve been talked about more. Just because Chicago fell short of the postseason, don’t overlook how well Robinson performed this season.
