The Buccaneers sign Philip Rivers in free agency

Last but not least, the Buccaneers have to address the elephant in the room — the quarterback position. The first option for Tampa Bay could be to franchise tag Winston and give him another year to prove himself.

However, if Arians believes Winston can’t improve, then they could be looking to add someone in free agency. One name that has been linked to the Buccaneers is Philip Rivers.

The Los Angeles Chargers are prepared to part ways with Rivers, making him a notable name in free agency. Even though it could mean nothing, Rivers also moved his family to Florida after the 2019 season concluded.

Along with signing Rivers, the Buccaneers could also draft someone to develop for the future. Or at the least, Arians would have a veteran quarterback to fill the void until they found their franchise signal-caller.
