4 Bold Predictions for Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott in 2024

Dak Prescott, Cowboys
NFL Analysis Network

The 2023 season for Dak Prescott was one of his best seasons in the NFL. He led all quarterbacks in passing touchdowns with 36 and had a little over 4,500 passing yards. For the third consecutive year, he led the Dallas Cowboys to a 12-5 record, but was unable to get past the Packers in the Wild Card Round.

For much of the season, Prescott was in the running for the MVP award, but Lamar Jackson proved to be slightly better. Having missed out last year and the fact that his contract may not getting renewed, Prescott will be more than motivated to have an excellent season ahead.

Here are a few bold predictions for Prescott in 2024.

Dak Prescott will win the Super Bowl and Super Bowl MVP

For quite some time now, the Cowboys have been in the conversation for a Super Bowl, but every year they have fallen short. Prescott has been brilliant for the franchise in the regular season, getting them to the postseason in five of his eight seasons in the league.

Just after the end of last season, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced that they were “all in,” which people have taken to mean that Dallas is serious about another Super Bowl.

Prescott has the likes of CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, and Jake Ferguson as his receiving options while the defense consists of many key players such as Micah Parsons, Treyvon Diggs, DaRon Bland, and more.

With Dallas’ window for a Super Bowl coming to an end, this will be the year Prescott brings home the Lombardi Trophy while putting up a Super Bowl MVP performance.

He will win NFL MVP

As mentioned earlier, the Louisiana native came close to winning his first NFL MVP last year. In all likelihood, Prescott will rise to the occasion, as he has more to prove with this being a contract year for him.

It will not be just the Cowboys, but even other teams in the league will be watching carefully as they may want to entice Prescott away from Dallas. Should he have a similar season in 2024 as last year, Prescott would be a strong candidate to win the MVP.

He will throw for over 5,000 yards

In the eight years that Prescott has played in the NFL, he has yet to register a season with 5,000 passing yards. The closest he has come was back in 2019, when he threw for 4,902 yards.

But last year was a good one for Prescott, as he once again threw for over 4.500 yards, which shows that he is still capable of putting up the big numbers. Look for the Mississippi State alumnus to have a career year as he eclipses 5,000 passing yards for the first time in his career.

Dak Prescott will throw five or fewer interceptions

Generally, Prescott has been a good protector of the ball. In his eight seasons in the league so far, he has thrown just 74 interceptions. However, in the past three seasons, he has thrown a bit more interceptions, going for 10, 15, and nine, respectively.

If Dallas wants to go far in the postseason and make it back to the Super Bowl, Prescott’s quarterback play will be of utmost importance, and for that, he will have to be consistent with his passing.

If he takes better care of the ball, Prescott could end up with five or fewer interceptions in the upcoming season.
