Adrian Peterson scores his first Lions touchdown

The Saints know a thing or two about Adrian Peterson, as the future first-ballot hall of fame tail back spent four games in New Orleans in 2017.

Peterson of course has returned to the NFC North as a member of the Lions, back in the division where he spent the majority of his career.

Peterson saw his highest usage rate of the season last week, with 22 carries for 75 yards. Look for that trend to continue this week, as Peterson’s fellow running back, Kerryon Johnson, had just three carries last week for 16 yards.

He may be at the tail end of his career, but Peterson can still help the Lions offense if they monitor his carries at the age of 35. Peterson will likely be motivated to face the Saints, and he could very well find himself in a familiar place: in the end zone for career touchdown No. 112.
