Two Running Backs Get In The End Zone
The backfield for the Rams has been a complete carousel in the first three games. They selected Cam Akers in April’s draft and he was expected to get a big workload but that has not been the case early on. Darrell Henderson has taken over and Malcolm Brown has been used in certain situations.
In the opener against the Dallas Cowboys, it was Brown who stood out with 79 yards and two touchdowns. With both Brown and Akers suffering injuries in Week 2, it was Henderson who stepped up. That continued on Sunday with 20 carries for 114 yards and a touchdown against the Bills.
In Week 4 against a shaky Giants’ defense, both Henderson and Brown could find the end zone, if they remain on the field.
The Rams are looking like that team that made a run to the Super Bowl. They are contenders in the loaded NFC West. If they can figure their rushing attack out consistently, they will be even tougher to beat.
