Cam Newton will throw for over 200 yards:
On the surface, that may not sound like much. But Newton and the Patriots are facing a Chiefs defense that surrendered just 70 passing yards to Jackson and the Ravens.
Newton should surpass 200 yards through the air, and possibly even more. For context, Los Angeles Chargers rookie Justin Herbert threw for 296 yards against the Chiefs in Week 2.
As mentioned, these are two coaching staff’s who are prepared for anything and everything. Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels should draw up a game plan that puts Newton in position to succeed, using his running game to set up the passing game.
Newton is known as a dual threat, and rightfully so. But it will be imperative that he finds a rhythm early, as we’ve seen the Chiefs defense clamp down on Jackson after he got off to a slow start.
