Will Kenyan Drake Build Off 2019 Season?

After a mid-season trade with the Miami Dolphins, the Arizona Cardinals managed to acquire Kenyan Drake to bolster their backfield. During his eight appearances, the impact he made was significantly greater than what many likely anticipated from outsiders.

During his eight performances with the Cardinals last season, Drake produced 101.8 total yards from scrimmage per game and eight touchdowns. He led all running backs in big-play rate (14%) proving to be an incredible addition for an air raid system.

It’s safe to say that Drake performed like an elite running back during his appearances with the Cardinals last season. He was achieving the results many expected David Johnson to produce within Arizona’s offense but simply failed to accomplish.

The expectation for the Cardinals obviously shouldn’t be for Drake to double his totals from 2019. As long as he can relatively sustain his per game output over the course of the upcoming season, Arizona’s offense will be in a great position.
