Is Eric Ebron The Missing Piece?
One of the big free agency moves for the Steelers this offseason was going out and signing former Indianapolis Colts tight end Eric Ebron.
Just a couple short years ago in 2018, Ebron was one of the top tight ends in the entire NFL. He caught 66 passes for 750 yards and 13 touchdowns. Last season, however, he fell off in a big way with just 31 receptions for 375 yards and three touchdowns.
Ebron did have a couple reasons for the lack of production. Andrew Luck retired just ahead of the start of the season and Jack Doyle returned from injury. Both of those facts absolutely came into play.
The Steelers need a shot of energy and Ebron could be that. With JuJu Smith-Schuster and Diontae Washington leading the way at wide receiver, can Ebron be the missing piece for the offense? Only time will tell, but he definitely has the skill-set.
