The Chicago Bears are coming off a disappointing 2019 season after posting an underwhelming 8-8 record. They finished behind the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North standings resulting in another non-playoff campaign.
A key factor in the Bears’ underachieving results as a team was their offense. They produced an average of 296.8 total yards per game (29th) and 17.5 points per game (29th) with a net neutral turnover differential. That must change in 2020 for Chicago to turn things around.
The fact that the Bears finished with a .500 record in 2019 is a true testament to the impact of their defense. Managing to experience greater results on offense would naturally help Chicago to take the next step as a team during the upcoming season.
After free agency and the 2020 NFL Draft, it appears the Bears are mostly banking on continuity by running it back with many of their players from last year’s roster. Whether that ends up panning out remains to be seen but it naturally leaves plenty of questions.
With that being said, here are four early bold predictions for the Bears’ offense during the 2020 season.
