Allen’s Passing Progresses… Ball Security Remains Concerning
Josh Allen’s first start of the 2020 NFL season began well, as Allen dominated the Jets defense with his arm and his legs. Allen produced a combined three touchdowns in the first half, running for one and passing two. Allen continued his dominance in the second half, eclipsing the 300 passing yard mark for the first time in his career.
However, with all the positives from this game, Allen did continue to struggle with ball security, losing two fumbles, that against more productive teams, could have cost the Buffalo Bills the game.
Allen’s ball security issues will remain a top priority for him as well as the coaching staff moving forward. It’s an area that must be addressed before Buffalo can emerge as a serious contender.
Considering the lack of a preseason, Allen and the Bills receivers were sharp and on the same page for most of the game, and this win should allow analysts and fans to remain on the Buffalo Bills hype train.
