The Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons squared off in an NFC South showdown during the NFL’s Week 5 slate.
It was the Falcons that managed to hold a narrow lead through the conclusion of the opening period. However, the Panthers scored 17 unanswered points before halftime to set up a 20-7 lead.
The Falcons attempted to rally back late and narrowed the disadvantage they faced on the scoreboard to 20-10 entering the final quarter. The Panthers held on and managed to win with 23-16 being the final score.
