The Falcons’ Offense Can Be Special

It’s not often a team can put together a performance where three of their wide receivers manage to exceed 100 yards receiving. That was the case for the Falcons with Julio Jones (157), Calvin Ridley (130), and Russell Gage (134) as they combined for 401 yards.

It’s clear that Matt Ryan has plenty left in the tank and with the receiving talent the Falcons have around him, he will put up big numbers all throughout 2020. The only knock is that he found the end-zone only twice and in what needed to be a shootout.

There were some intriguing sequences that Todd Gurley managed to provide the Falcons out of the backfield. He didn’t have to shoulder a heavy load either as he finished with 14 carries ending in 56 yards and a rushing score.

When putting all of the pieces together, the Falcons have enough talent to get the job done on offense. Again, it just remains to be seen if Atlanta will ever manage to get it together with their defense to provide enough support.
