Russell Wilson Begins His MVP Campaign
Whenever a player can put together an outing that features totals of 322 passing yards and 4 touchdowns without having an interceptions…it’s safe to say it was a great outing.
Now, when that happens while completing 31-of-35 (88.7%) pass attempts? That’s a truly special talent. That’s nearly an unprecedented level of efficiency for a quarterback and Russell Wilson was able to achieve precisely that against the Falcons.
There was little the Falcons could do to slow Wilson in this matchup. He made the right throw almost every single attempt and spread the ball around throughout the offense. He was unpredictable and dynamic, which is all you can ask from a quarterback.
While Wilson put together this production against a bad Falcons defense, it’s still important to not play down to competition. He got the job done and will be able to build on it against tougher opposing units throughout the 2020 season.
