Detroit Needs To Give The Football To Adrian Peterson More

Next up, the Lions had to love what they saw from the ageless wonder Adrian Peterson. After being released by the Washington Redskins, the Lions wasted no time picking him up. In Week 1, he showed why the franchise made the right decision.

Peterson ended up carrying the football 14 times for 93 yards. Those numbers average out to an impressive 6.6 yards per carry. He also caught three passes for 21 yards in the contest.

Stafford and the passing game will be much better when Kenny Golladay returns to the field. But, the Lions should focus on handing the football to Peterson more.

He is still capable of making an impact every single time he touches the football. Peterson deserves more than 14 carries in Week 2.
