T.J. Hockenson Gave The Lions A Reason For Excitement

Finally, the Lions may have lost the game, but they saw something that should excite them moving forward. That was the production put up by second-year tight end T.J. Hockenson.

Against the Bears, Hockenson caught five passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. It was a good game to start the season and the Lions can only hope that he can consistently produce those numbers moving forward.

Hockenson was drafted by the Lions with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he caught 32 passes for 367 yards and two scores. He did miss four games in his rookie year though.

That being said, the Lions need a better year from their tight end. He proved that he can step up and be a big-time player in the offense. Stafford and Hockenson need to continue working together moving forward this season.
