4. Joe Burrow Is a Player

It’s clear that the Cincinnati Bengals made the right call taking Joe Burrow with the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Burrow, winless in his first two starts of his NFL career has shown the poise of a 5-year veteran.

Against the Eagles, Burrow did take eight sacks but he did not make the huge error that young QB’s normally made by forcing the issue. Even with AJ Green blanketed by Darius Slay, Burrow found other weapons. His check-downs were good but most importantly, he looked to be in command of the team.

Burrow finished the game 31-44 for 312 yards and two touchdowns but no turnovers. Defenses will blitz Burrow trying their best to rattle the rookie.

It worked in the Eagles’ favor in Week 3 but it’s evident that Burrow will make the necessary adjustments and will make teams pay for their over-confidence.
