The Tennessee Titans Dominated In The Red-Zone
It’s not often a team manages to reach the red-zone on six drives during a given performance. The Tennessee Titans not only achieved this mark, but went a step further by scoring a touchdown each time.
Last season, the Titans managed to field the NFL’s best red-zone offense and it appears they have managed to build on their success. Currently, they are scoring a touchdown on 82.35% of their red-zone possessions, which trails only the Seattle Seahawks.
The brute force that Derrick Henry manages to plow through defenders with is able to force his way into the end-zone in near goal-line situations. The threat he poses in the red-zone commands substantial respect from the opposition’s defense.
With much focus of the defense placed on Henry, Ryan Tannehill is able to capitalize with his highly accurate throwing accuracy. The one-two punch the Titans have developed in the red-zone is incredibly tough to stop.
