The Tennessee Titans’ Defense Was Incredible

The Buffalo Bills held an undefeated record entering this matchup and their excellence on offense played a critical role. That didn’t deter the Tennessee Titans from having a strong defensive outing.

The two interceptions and fumble recovery the Titans recorded on defense helped to set up their offense in the red-zone— all three of which ended in touchdowns. That type of momentum swing is deflating to an opposing team as both units took care of business in a major way.

Something to consider, the Titans needed to protect the 21-10 lead they held to begin the second half. Two of the takeaways Tennessee recorded that led to scoring drives occurred in the second half.

The big plays the Titans’ defense made was vital when considering the Bills scored a touchdown on both of their red-zone possessions and went 13-of-17 (76.5%) on 3rd down conversions
