The Colts Badly Struggled In The Red-Zone

When going up against just about any opponent in the NFL, it’s tough to overcome poor execution in the red-zone. There is only a small portion of drives that even get that far up the field and it’s vital to make the most of those opportunities.

The Colts consistently came up short during the four times they reached the red-zone— recording a touchdown on just one of those possessions.

Having to take field goals as opposed to punching the ball into the end-zone adds up throughout the course of a game. The turnovers Indianapolis had were more costly, but regardless, they can’t convert at a 25% clip in the red-zone and expect to win many games.

Had the Browns been more efficient on their own red-zone possessions, the Colts’ struggles would have been amplified. Even despite that fact, Indianapolis failed to achieve enough results.
