Baker Mayfield Still Needs To Improve

The Browns may have come away with the win in this game but the quarterback play of Baker Mayfield could have been better.

Mayfield completed 21-of-37 (56.8%) pass attempts for 247 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. His lack of accuracy on throws was head-scratching and throwing multiple picks is always something that falls under the ‘less-than-ideal’ category.

For the Browns to emerge as a serious contender in the AFC, it’s vital that Mayfield manages to cut down on mistakes. Cleveland already has an elite running game and just needs the quarterback to be efficient and make some big plays when needed.

Mayfield makes plenty of positive plays but turning the ball over against elite teams will result in a very quick defeat.
