Philip Rivers’ Mistakes Proved To Be Costly
The Colts had high hopes for their offense when they signed Philip Rivers in the offseason. So far this season, he has put together an underwhelming performance and it has been costly at times.
In this game, Rivers completed 21-of-33 (63.6%) pass attempts for 243 yards and two interceptions. He failed to find the end-zone on any of his pass attempts during this performance.
The total number of points the Browns scored from the interceptions they had on Rivers’ passes (10 points) was more than the margin of victory (9 points). Let’s not forget, he was called for intentional grounding from inside the Colts’ end-zone, resulting in a safety.
It’s important that Rivers manages to find consistency as opposed to being such a boom-or-bust quarterback for the Colts.
