3. Seahawks’ Defense Did Enough
It’s no secret the Seahawks ask a lot of Russell Wilson in order to get the job done each week. Their offensive line is less than stellar and the defense has some areas that need to be fixed before taking a step forward.
Allowing 31 points is not the type of performance where a defense deserves much praise. However, it’s well-known the Seahawks aren’t going to shut down opposing offenses. Their strength is having playmakers that can come up big within the flow of the game to influence the outcome.
Being able to neutralize the Ezekiel Elliott in the running game proved to be quite helpful for the Seahawks. The standout back was contained to just 34 rushing yards and one touchdown on 14 carries. As a result, there was substantial pressure placed on Dak Prescott to carry the load.
As previously mentioned, turnovers ended up being a problem for the Cowboys’ offense at times. The Seahawks’ defense managed to swing the momentum of the game with two takeaways — helping give possession to the offense to score two touchdowns.
