4 major takeaways from the Eagles vs. Steelers matchup in Week 5

Eagles, Travis Fulgham

Travis Fulgham Gives Eagles’ Receiving Corps Hope

With all of the injuries the Eagles have dealt with at the wide receiver position, there has been a real need for someone to step up. Travis Fulgham has certainly answered the call since being signed mid-season by the Eagles.

Fulgham’s debut for the Eagles came in Week 4 and he was clearly still being worked into the offense. Despite that, he caught two passes and gained 57 yards and one touchdown.

Against the Steelers, Carson Wentz threw to Fulham 13 times and the result was 10 catches, 152 yards, and one touchdown. It was a truly incredible outing for a player who joined the team just a few weeks ago.

It will be fascinating to see how the Eagles’ receiving corps shakes out once Alshon Jeffery and Jalen Reagor return to the lineup. Fulgham could provide a needed element with a complete group.
