The Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons played a very entertaining game in Week 3. Unfortunately for the Falcons, they blew yet another fourth quarter lead and ended up losing to the Bears by a final score of 30-26.
Matt Nagy made one of the biggest decisions of the game coming out of halftime, benching Mitchell Trubisky in favor of Nick Foles. Foles came in and led an impressive comeback to move the Bears to 3-0 on the season. He completed 16 of his 29 pass attempts for 188 yards, three touchdowns, and one interceptions.
On the other side of the ball, the Falcons struggled to find offense late in the game. With Julio Jones on the sidelines due to injury, they simply didn’t have enough firepower. Matt Ryan only threw for 238 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the contest.
Following the loss, the Falcons drop to 0-3 and there are major questions about their future. Could they fire head coach Dan Quinn in the middle of the season? As for the Bears, are they legitimate playoff contenders?
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at four major takeaways from the Bears vs. Falcons matchup in Week 3.
