The Atlanta Falcons’ Passing Attack Was On Fire

While the Atlanta Falcons had some troubles getting the job done in the running game, their passing attack was firing on all cylinders. The Minnesota Vikings had no answer for it all game.

For the Falcons, Matt Ryan completed 30-of-40 (75%) pass attempts for 371 yards, four touchdowns, and went without throwing a pick. Overall, it amounted to an impressive 92.4 QBR.

The performance Julio Jones provided the Falcons was the best he’s had in quite some time. He hauled in eight catches for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Keep in mind, he has yet to record a touchdown grab until this performance.

The other pass-catching options in the Falcons’ offense provided needed contributions, too. Russell Gage (4 REC, 65 YDS), Calvin Ridley (6 REC, 61 YDS, 1 TD), and Hayden Hurst (4 REC, 57 YDS, 1 TD) each were quite productive as complements for Jones.
