3. Bears Still Have a Dominant Defense

Although it was against a Saquan Barkley-less Giants offense, the Bears were dominant this week. Their pass rush was wreaking havoc on Daniel Jones — forcing multiple turnovers. Chicago’s defense has been one of the top units in the league for a few years now. However, against the Lions in Week 1, the pass rush just wasn’t there but returned to form in Week 2.

The Bears have pass rushers on the interior and on the edge. They also have a fantastic secondary and their linebackers are very good as well. This Chicago defense is very well rounded. They are good enough to carry the team into the playoffs, so long as their offense doesn’t commit too many mistakes that take them out of the game.

Although the Giants have a very bad offensive line, the Bears’ defensive line was controlling this game and it was intriguing to see. They have plenty of talent and that should be what we expect from them, especially when the offense is showing they are in need of some help.

If this defensive line can disrupt opposing QBs and force turnovers then the Bears will always have a shot to win against just about any opponent. However, relying on their offense to win games like in Week 1 could be very dangerous.
