The Green Bay Packers took care of business against the Detroit Lions in Week 2 by a final score of 42-21. It was a game that got off to a 14-3 lead for the Lions, but Aaron Rodgers and the Packers calmed things down and dominated the rest of the game.
After tons of concern all offseason long about the Packers’ offense, they have answered all of the questions so far. In Week 1, they put up 43 points and this week they scored 42. This offense is for real and is dynamic.
Detroit, on the other hand, needs to figure out what direction they want to go. They blew a massive lead to the Chicago Bears in Week 1 and stood no chance against the Packers this week. Matt Patricia simply isn’t getting the job done.
These two teams are at the completely opposite end of the spectrum. Green Bay is a Super Bowl contender, while the Lions might very well be in contention for a top-10 pick.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at four major takeaways from this week’s Lions vs. Packers matchup.
