Aaron Jones Is An Elite NFL Running Back
Coming into the season, there were rumors that the Packers wanted to lock Jones up to a long-term extension. That didn’t end up happening, but fans were split. Some wanted a new deal and others don’t think Green Bay should pay big money to a running back.
In Week 2 against the Lions, Jones proved that he is among the NFL’s elite as his position. He carried the football 18 times for 168 yards and two touchdowns. Jones also caught four passes for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Jones is without question one of the most dynamic backs in the league. He showcased that ability with a massive 75-yard touchdown run to begin the second half.
If the Packers want to compete for a championship, they are going to need this version of Jones. No, he isn’t going to rack up 168 yards on the ground every week, but he needs to be a consistent 100 to 120-yard threat.
