Rashan Gary Is The Real Deal For Green Bay

Last offseason, the Packers made a very surprising decision to select Rashan Gary with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. They also signed both Preston Smith and Za’Darius Smith to lucrative contracts in free agency.

Gary ended his rookie season with just 21 total tackles, two sacks, and a fumble recovery. This week against the Lions, Gary showed off star potential for the Packers.

He racked up four total tackles and 1.5 sacks in the game. If the Packers can get that kind of production from him, they are going to have a lethal defense. A three-headed monster of Gary and the “Smith Bros” will be impossible for opposing offensive lines to stop.

Green Bay can stop worrying that they wasted a high first-round pick on a pass-rusher. Gary is the real deal and is going to be a big part of this defense for years to come.
